Nopes, here's a lil trick when you do swap the cams. I'm assuming your using the stock cam gears and an S13 SR, so when you lift the valve cover off, first thing you do is get some zip-tie and zip tie the cam gears and the chain together so it wont skip or come off the chain. Loosen the cam gear bolts but dont take it off completely. Then pop the chain tensioner and start popping off the cam retainers. Make sure you put them back where you take them off. So keep the same studs and retainers in the same spot. Dont worry about the chain dropping of, as long as the zip ties are in place attached to the cam gears, it shouldnt really matter much.

Also when you put the cams on, make sure the front part is seated in the groove properly. Ive seen people snap the damn things because it caught the lip and wasnt seating properly when they started torquing down the retainers

If your swapping in cam gears, make sure the car is in TDC and hold your breath that the chain and cams gears are properly aligned before you pull the cams and gears off. If they're not, then time to bust out a marker and mark the chain and gear.

Here...this might help too...
