I have the same problem sounds like its coming somewhere from the suspension.. But I checked all the bolts and I had one loose bolt on the alternator and i tightened it and the noise went away for a little bit but now its seems like it came back and got worse. Also it could be your exhaust from the vibrations if you dont have a flex pipe...

I have a similar noise as well, but my problem is rotational with the driveshaft on acceleration. I also have only been hearing this noise since I installed my aluminum subframe spacers, so i'm assuming its just the rotating mass of the driveshaft but without rubber bushings to insulate the vibrations?

Axles huh? My boots still seem to be in good shape around the shafts. What would be making the clunking that replacing your axles would fix? I was thinking it was just the yoke in the driveshaft from using my stock Driveshaft with my ABS oriented LSD housing...Since it had to buckle a bit to compensate for the additional length.

axles. if you jack up the back of the car by the diff, and then jack up one of the controll arms so that one side is at ride level hight, you should be able to feel the play in the axles. Mine is making the same noise. make sure you raise the control arm when you go to test so the axle sits in the position is sits while its on the ground.
anyone know where i can find a good set of axles besides the DSS |

i looked at the front driver side coilover. and the top bolt had moved abit. the silkroad coilovers come with a squareish washer that i didnt put in. so i installed it and it hasnt made any noise yet. but the noise would only happen sometimes in the first place so we will see.
