Supertech Pistons

Okay so heres the deal. im getting ready to break apart my RB25 and build the internals. ive already decided to go with eagle rods but im not sure about what pistons to use. ive heard that the supertech pistons are pretty good but i would like some more input from people that know personally. so if anyone is using them or knows anybody that is please let me know how well they are doing. thanks.

I used mahle motorsports on mine. They make a RB line that is superlight and strong. They use the pro series box in box on supra/sti/and rb engines.

supertech is garbage, we have seen many broken supertech pistons, the dont have very good strength. last night some kid was trying to put an engine together with supertech pistons, and he had to grind down his brand new eagle rods, cause they hit the pistons, thats how bad their design is.

Whats your company's name?

What motor?

Tons of people like to make up shit. I've used their piston on tons of honda motors, nissan, and toyota. No problem whatsoever.

Automotive Engineering and Machining,

we are known for building 4g63s and other mitsu engines mainly, but build tons of other stuff.

I have just seen their stuff break, and would stay away from it, there are tons of other high end piston companies out there that seem to have much better reliability at the same price, so i see no reason to deal with them.

one of the main problems being that their pistons require enormous tolerances, although i will admit recently they have started to come down a little, but they are still far larger than most other companies.

I'd rather have that than any others. Mahle Proseries roxor's. I'll get the PN when I get to work S14DB. I remember it was like $850-900 my cost on them.

Edit: PN 930110250 326g 86.5mm 8.5:1

call tony ford at 888-255-1942 for info

Thanks, my engine builder will laugh at me if I show up with anything but Mahle. The only problem is that his rep is a domestic guy and there is this big domestic vs import dept's at Mahle. So I can't always get the part #'s
