KA sohc to dohc problems! please i need help BIG TIME!!!

ok i got a dohc for my 89 coupe i solder a couple of wires for the intake senor and my distributor connector was f-up so i soldered wires stright to the plug and it cranks fine and i fucked around with the timing with the timing gun and i turned the pulley as well to get the timing right and i got the timing good but heres the main problem the car starts but alot of white smoke comes out and gas comes out of my headers cause i have an eghuast leak so gas and oil comes out and burns my gas quick and i try running the car and it sounds like a wxr with white smoke blowing out but runs like crap ive changed the injectors but i got them from altimas at the junk yard and i dont know if their different and all my spark plugs are dry except for the first one its full of gas and i also soldered my intake manifold plugs cause i got the wiring harness form a 95 240 so i dont know if its my distributor or my injectors?? i really need help cause i need my car for work!! alos the motor shakes alot and the mounts are tight!....ohh and plus i have to kinda hammer my distributor in so i dont know??

Ive done my research and it might be my injectors or my distributor???! or timing!!

please help me!!! i will mow your lawn!!!!!! clean your room if you can help me ouT!!!!!!!

im sorry my thread might be a little confussing but i got a new distributor and i just cant seem to ge the timing right but the major problem is that gas is in motor like when i drian my oil gas comes out with it so i dont know whats up please i really need help!

If you wrote a little more coherently you might have gotten your answer already.

From what I read, you got injectors from an altima? And #1 cylinder is full of gas? WTF Did the altima have a ka24de in it?

I don't even know if whatever altima injectors you got will work, and if they did #1 isn't sealed and is just dumping way too much fuel and thinning your oil.

Change your oil, actually flush it once with cheap shit and then change it again and replace all 4 of the injector o-rings from a parts store. And find out if they are even the right injectors.

The symptoms you described:
WRX sounding engine, shaking a lot and lots of white smoke.

The exact same thing happened to me. I pulled the CEL code and it was injector malfuntion. Sure enough after replacing the injector o-rings the car ran good again. My oil was also mixed with gas and my engine developed a valve tick until I changed the oil twice, after that it ran strong.

haha yeah sorry i was kinda in a hurry when i was writing it but actually the timing was bad and i had still left the sohc intake filter with the same air flow censor cause i got my wiring harness cut where the airflow censor plug is at so i though it was the same thing as the dohc but its not so im guessing thats why it sends gas to my engine cause ive checked the o-rings on my injectors and they dont look pinched or nothing so im hoping thats the solution. oh and i also checked my #1 piston and it looks clean my car turns on now but it still sounds like a wrx so it has to be that air flow censor....
lmk if im wrong or something sorry for the screwed up thread

i just did one recently and imo you really should get the dohc mafs and wire it correctly... gl with everything else... plug for mr mephs write up in the archives

thanks for the help.

yea i checked,that but the main timing change was reallly off so i was like fuck it ill get another engine so i did ok but get this i did the swap everything was good i hooked everything back up and i tryed to turn it on and it did but the car bogs out??? i checked my vacum lines and they looked good i think it might be the ecu cause i have no idea if its for the dual cam or not cause i have like 4 ecu's from my brothers shop but i dont know what engine their for but one of them says its for an 89 ka24de??? which doesnt make sense, so i put it on it turns on fine but i rev it and it bogs out please help me out i know its something easy but i just dont know what it is ohh and the connection from the ecu to the cluster is different cause i have the digital cluster??
caould it be that i have to get the wiring for the cluster too???

pleeassee helpp me i really need my car for work!!!!
