I have heard of this being done and I believe that you just need to find a junk-yard 240sx with power-windows. I am planing on doing this soon!

ya but even if you take a whole entire auto door.....where's the door's harness going to plug into to get it's power? if you want plug and play then you're gonna have to swap the main harness etc etc etc. if you swap regulators, door panels and all, you're still gonna have to wire in the door's harness to the appropriate power sources. i could do it for you if you supplied the parts and just payed for labor, but anywho, g/l =] @@

it can be done no doubt at all, you could easily half ass it, but to do it right gonna take some time.

"if there's never enough time to do it right, you're only creating enough time to do it twice"

i did it. its not as easy as 1-2-3.

you need to take off the dash and get the whole main harness with the power harness and everything. i didnt feel like taking off the dash so what i did was used a relay. works perfect, looks stock

umm ...

i got all the power door skin, switches, harness, etc.

you need to extend 2 wires from the passenger side to the driver side.

there is IIRC white/black wire that usually goes to ignition.

what i did was get a 4 pin relay and connect it as following.

30-battery 12v
87-white/black wire
86-ground
85-ign on

i had to double check on the wiring tho dont remember

s13 Yea

I did it on my 93 hatch. Don't listen to all these crazy people. I just put the auto windows in and wires my own switches in and ran the windows off the battery. It's pretty simple, just get one of those dual throw switches from radio shack, if you put power into the wires one way they go up and power the other way they go down it's not too complicated. Plus this way you could have a third switch that moves both . I just ran the wiring to the stereo and put the switches up in front of my center console. But if you want to waste all the extra money on those fancy switches go for it. Or you can just pay 55$ and 5$ for 2 switches and find some cheap wiring.

s13 Slight Problem...

That car is in the junkyard. However I kept all the switches and will be installing it in my new 1990 240. I'll try to describe it in more detail.
I ran 2 wires from each power window motor to the center of the car then ran them back in to the center console. Then I ran a ground from the stereo and power from the stereo to the switch. The type of switch I had was pretty simple, I got it from radio shack. When I threw it one way power went through to the one window wire and ground to the other which caused it to go up for example. Then the other way I set ground to the other wire on the window and power on the other. I'll show you more in detail when I get back in the states but I had 3 switches running, one for one side, one for the other and a third for both at the same time.

Wow. That's a question I thought I'd never see. Yes, they're the same.
