Clutch Squeak

I have a 1995 base model 240sx that I installed a 2-way NISMO LSD in. After doing some cookies in a parking lot, I noticed the clutch was squeaking when I depressed the pedal. I didn't do any clutch kicks, but at the same time I wasn't being exactly nice to it either. Is this something that I should be worried about? The squeak seemed to dissipate on my fifteen mile drive home.

Where is the squeak? Is it at the pedal or under the car?

It's probably in the pedal. Look for leaks - if it's leaking, your slave cylinder is complaining, if not, it's just your pedal, don't worry about it. Shit gets hot when you're "baking cookies" (lol, get it?), and stuff expands/etc and makes noises. As long as you're not leaking fluid, you're straight to keep thrashin it.

Thanks, I searched nicoclub.com but I forgot to search zilvia. Anyone know if the broken bushing increases the wear on the clutch pedal assembly? Doesn't sound like something I want to undergo right now. Thanks again.

Mine has been squeaking ever since I bought my car. And it's been a few years with no mishaps so far.

I have found that S14 pedals squeak.
My old S14 squeaked (well, more like a "groan" almost)
I have an S14 clutch pedal in my coupe, it squeaks just the same way.
Slave Cylinder has been replaced, everything lubed, it still squeaks, I just accept it as it is

... turn the radio up

So thats what that stupid sound is...

I just sprayed some lithium grease on the spring... quieted it down.

It's pretty funny though, how you can hear it from outside the car.

i think all nissans tend to do that when they get older. my buddy's s14 squeaked, my 2000 maxima squaked, and my s13 squeaked too. just lube the spring on the clutch pedal and it was good as new
