Rim Question.

Hey guys! I have been looking for a set of 16x9 rims for my 240sx, but I haven't seen many pictures. I searched through Zilvia and Google and didn't have much luck. If any of you have a 240sx on 16x9 in the standard 4-lug pattern, could you please post it up?

Thanks,

Stephen

any particular reason why you want that size? It's kind of an oddball, especially in 4-lug. S13 or S14?

Do you by any chance have a web site or pics of these? I'm planning on buying wheels in a week and maybe now if I like these I wont need to buy spacers. Thanks

check it out, phase2 just posted this:

http://phase2motorsports.stores.yaho...itewheels.html

seen in person and its good for the price. face is sunken unlike the rota crap. they even put it side by side with the work 17x9 r-disk and clearance is exactly the same. so it'll clear big brakes and all that junk.

4 luggers rejoice!

16x9 would only have garbage tire sizes available, pointless.

I can wait a week to see some nice, low-offset, four-lug wheels. I will look for those! I thought 16x9 would be nice because...I don't know to be honest. A wider, smaller wheel seems like it would provide nice handling...but now I am thinking that 17x9 is the way to go. My car is an S13 Fastback, by the way.

yes get 17s

16" setups have poor tire choices, are commonly heavier than larger diameter wheels, and usually end up having screwball rolling diameters.

4 lug FTW? Lol...

16x9 is kind of a weird size, especially in a 4 lug pattern. Youll probably have a hard time finding pictures of them on a car, let alone a set. Although... I think I saw some 16x9s on RBMotoring's for sale gallery earlier.

Edit: Here's that set I saw on RB Motoring... SSR Reverse mesh - 16x8.5 +7 and 16x9.5 +1 (fuckin baller!!! AND it's 4 lug!). $2k.

It will never clear large brakes either but its dope.

The 17x9 atech's/ mb wheels come in universal bolt pattern from discounttire. I don't know about the ones in the group buy. I bought from discounttiredirect.com and they fit 4 and 5 lug

you are correct and 5 lug is the way to if you want a decent choice in wheels. Yes the Phase2 wheels are just another Sp-1/SSR rip off and yes I am getting sick of seeing those.

all they did was get rotas and say their elite or whatever... if u wanted gruppe-s sells all the hott offsets u want for real SP1's and u can get em 4 lug... save sum money and go the right way. why buy elites aka rotas if ur car is still gonna look like shit... yeah their 17x9+15 but the face looks like trash and they look nothing like SP1's

like i said in my previous post those wheels ARE NOT rebadged rotas--i've seen rotas version of the ssr copy and they're not the same. rota's version's face is flush with the lip of the wheel while the elite's face is sunken (saw this in person like i stated before). so that i know for sure its not the same as rotas. yea i know what you guys mean when you say you're getting sick of the face, but for track? i don't see a problem in those.

they're cheap and in a good size for 4 lug, u can't ask for much more in a temporary measure

the only other alternatives for 4 lug are the FN's in 17x9 +20 or used

Hey guys, I want to thank all of you for your legitimit responses. The 17x9 would be tempory, but for a few months. I think the Phase 2 wheels look okay, but I understand where you all are coming from when you say they are "just another knock-off". I would like to convert to five-lug, but at the moment I would just like to touch all aspects of my car and then go from there. I eventually want to run a baller set of wheels, but those will come in due time my friends.

Thanks,

Stephen.
