Real Kwik-E-Marts!

7-Eleven stores are changing their stores name to Kwik-E-Mart. They are now selling Squishees,Buzz Cola, and KrustyO's cereal. Too bad they are not gonna carry Duff Beer.

So far these US store locations have been changed to Kwik-E-Marts
New York City; Chicago; Dallas; Denver; Burbank, Calif.; Los Angeles; Henderson, Nev.; Orlando, Fla.; Mountain View, Calif.; Seattle; and Bladensburg, Md.

saw this on the news last night, thought it was pretty cool...

not all locations are going through the full make over...in LA there are only 2 locations that did the full change over

but the rest of the locations are carrying all the products (squishees, krusty Os, buzz cola)

I also walked into a 7/11 store and i saw the slurpee cups said Squishee on them, thought of the simpsons but really didnt think much about it. Funny thing is that the guy that works at the 7/11 near my job looks like apu.

I noticed that the 7-Eleven that I used to go to had changed its name to the Kwik-E-Mart a while back. I walked up to the counter and noticed that there were Simpson's bobble-heads next to me and I looked at Apu and started laughing because the guy at the counter looked just like him. Are they trying to gain more business by changing their name to something that more people can relate with or what?

The 7-11 at the intersection of Olive and Verdugo in Burbank has temporarily been converted into a Kwik-E-Mart. It was re-done late Saturday night and will remain a Kwik-E-Mart for the next month to promote the upcoming Simpsons movie.

Eleven 7-11s in the United States and two in Canada have been converted into Kwik-E-Marts as part of the promotion. DCist has their very own Kwik-E-Mart in Bladensburg, MD.

Golam, Burbank's friendly counterman, was having a lot of fun shouting, "Welcome to Kwik-E-Mart!" as each customer walked in. The other employees were rushing to re-stock cartoonishly pink donuts while the 7-11 rep made frantic calls on his cell phone demanding more Buzz cola, "Send me everything you've got! It's ALL gone. Everything."

Other promo materials are Krusty-Os, Kwik-E-Mart styrofoam ice chests, Radioactive Man comic books, and Squishee cups (No Duff beer, unfortunately).

Watch for specially marked merchandise to enter a contest to appear in a Simpsons episode.

7-11 has hired security to handle the anticipated crowds, and the news vans were already pulling up as I was leaving at 4am. I have a feeling that perky, "Welcome to Kwik-E-Mart!" is going to sound pretty exhausted by the end of the day.

Hell yeah, the frozen Jasper just took it up another notch. I think that the marketing genius who thought this up should be elevated to god status. On thier website each location has a Simpsons related tie in and each product is described via an episode related quote. Ive yet go to my local Kwik-E-Mart (Denver location) but plan on getting one of everything to eat and also save, donuts and ice box excluded .

went to the kwik-e-mart in Burbank tonight...line was around the building, but only took 30min to get inside...got 3 boxes of Krusty Os, 2 six-packs of Buzz cola, and a bunch of commemorative straws, gonna try and find the comic book over the next month
