Im About To Give Up!! Please Help

i bought my 90 coupe with a 93 ka24de in it just to mess around with as a fun car. not my daily driver. Well since ive had it the car has had one main problem. As you drive in any gear it pulls nicely up to about 3200rpm then just falls flat on its face and has NO POWER at all. Still revs, but makes a ton of noise and goes nowhere. Also the car will not idle lower than like 1200 even with the idle screw all the way in!! also coming to a stop it will almost die unless i blip the trottle, then the idle comes up to 1200 again. I have since changed/replaced/checked these things
changed maf
changed ecu
No ecu codes
changed plugs
changed wires
changed cap
changed rotor
91 DOHC cams
new upper chain
fuel filter
fuel pump
injectors
Timed at 20 degrees
the only thing i have left i could possibly think it could be is a HUGE air leak, my CAS, or knock sensor or lower timing chain?.....idk how it could be my CAS or knock sensor cuz im not gettin any codes for them. what it feels like to drive is pulls hard to 3200 then feels like someone just backed out like 20 degrees of timing!!!
i am about to buy a new motor, but i dont think this one is bad!! compression is good still 170 across the board
SOMEONE HELP PLZ!!!

I am pretty sure the car is supposed to be at 15 degrees of timing stock, that's what the smog man told me. 20 degrees will give you more tq but the car will not have as much top end so I've been told. It shouldn't be as bad as you described though. Could your clutch possibly be slipping badly?

maybe its set at 15 degrees. w/e the last notch on the right side on the crank pulley is. Clutch is a ACT stage 3 and is not slipping, its just the car has NO power. like backing out 30 degrees timing at 3200rpm is what it feels like!!!

Mechanical timing is most likely off. Set it to TDC and check the cam alignment with some of the pics of TDC on here. I just had to deal with this BS on a friends SR that we got from rndfactory. Felt fine down low with 0 power up top. Thought since it was a fresh motorset from japan that the mechanical timing had to be fine so we checked everything else like you did. Finally checked the cam timing and it was off.

when i put the motor at TDC according to the crank pully timing marks, the cam timing seems right on.

Yes, the timing is set at 20 degrees btdc on the DOHC. You may also want to check for intake leaks with some carb spray since your idles jacked a bit. Id agree on the checking the mechanical timing, one cam could be off a tooth and still run.

3200 and not pulling? you driving with an elephant in the back or something? maybe its just because the ka sucks balls

check timing, vacuum lines and maf sensor

if you want to lower the idle then check in the fsm. there is a certain procedure used for doing it. not sure if that is what you did already. Not sure about the ka, but the sr has +50 added on to the idle i think
