ignition problems and AC ticking

hey guys.

well, heres my problem.my car will make this noise when i turn key and sometimes it will start, maybe likeevery other 3rd try.i have to move my key around in the ignition cylinder for it to work.i press clutch all the way down.i was thinking the ignition cylinder is bad.so i think a push button start would be an easier fix?ideas.?

heres a vid of the noise

next time your car does that starting noise, hit it with a hammer gently. If the car starts right up, the starter is the problem.

I meant to say hit the starter. Sometimes the starter can develop a flat spot, and tapping it can sometimes knock it past that spot.

Your AC problem seems like something is blocking the flat inside the ventilation box from being able to switch from one vent to the other or to switch from hot to cold.
