Starter Stays On

I just finish my sr20 swap in my s13. Everything was going good i test drove it and it drove fine. Then i went to start it again the starter stays running. But it not engage the flywheel its just whining. Its stays on know you have to disconnect they battery. To shut of the starter. This every happen to anyone.

Sounds like the armature is bad, but then again when that is the case it usually stays engaged.

This happened to on my KA, there was a short on mine.

Sounds like the solenoid in the starter is bad/dirty and not retracting when you let off. Take it apart and clean it. If you can see scratches down the length, replace the starter.

double check ur starter connections... if they all good then u might need to get a new starter or just have it rebuilt...
