I've been having a lot of starter probs as of late and i finaly switched my starter and now my car cranks, but doesnt start. I havent been able to check for spark as no one is around to help me. I've been searching the issue and other than checking for spark, i'm not sure what else to do. I dont know much about this stuff.

The car started fine before the starter went, and now that its been changed, nothing. what would all of a sudden stop working? The cranking sound sounded weak so i boosted the battery and it sounded better, but still no ignition.

i really need to get my car running in the next few days as ive been "semi-evicted" from my places and have to be out by friday.

ok, i have spark, fuel in the cylinders, Cranking is bad like battery is dieing, boosting makes the cranking sound better, but it still wont fire. Battery is brand new and started car fine before starter died. The battery is newish, about 6 months old. Plugs are brand new. Starter is new. I'm not getting a CEL. Why wont it start? Is it possible that my spark is not strong enough? Could my timing be off somehow? I haven't touched the timing, so unless there is a way that it can magicaly change, i doubt it.

it ran great before the starter went and I really need to get this running. any advice would be great.

the engine might be flooded?if its flooded take out the plugs, unplug the injectors and crank the engine for 3-4 seconds at a time 10-15 times. plug everything back in and try starting it.

Do you have a S14? was the starter an after market one not an OEM replacement? (ie exactly the same)
