The chiltons guide for your car should be just fine for doing a basic bearing replacement.
My only advice would be to get the book and compare the pictures of wear against the book and crank to know what may or may not need to be machined. Its a simple process, but there are alot of steps, and a book or fsm will be your best bet.

its pretty much bolt on. if you are trying to take out the engine.
you need a cherry picker. unbolt the tranny mount and engine mounts. disconnect downpipe. remove sensors and anything else connected to the engine. pull engine out. simple.

maybe you should try and english book and a dictionary....its hard to even understand what you are asking.
Pulling a motor isn't really hard, see where its connected and dissconnect it...try and pull it out, if its caught up on something, do something about it. |

Wow calm down... No need for hate in this thread... Hes just saying people on this forum are a little picky and would like at least decent grammar...
Back to the topic though, its easy... I did one with me and my cousin when I was 17... Cherry picker, tools and patience... Its a little easier with help, see if a friend wants to help you... |

^ok you need to stfu
he said sounds like a honda swap cause most people just drop the sohc on a honda. get off the high horse you think you're on and ummm... if you had to drop the engine (no hoist) how you plan on getting it in? haha |

^^plus one yeah when i did mine i just unplugged the ecu and pulled the loom through the firewall and just unbolted drive shaft sensor some wiring and whatever pulled motor and tranny together. took out raidator too for some extra room. cheery picker with that thing to adjust the angle of the engine is dope made life easy.

lol, funny thread.. yeah .. i pulled my KA when i was 17 bout 4 yrs ago.. rented a cherry opicker from kragen, and started takin it apart... its WAAAy easier to take the tranny and motor out as ONE, but if u already did it then thats great ive always had trouble with underneath the car thats why i would do itlike that... how far r u in the process?

Ya it sounds like you should be going to school instead of working on cars, due to your grammar and immaturity. If you can't handle corrective criticism than you definetly need to find a new forum.
And for my second point. If you search through the threads on this forum there has been numerous people that did swaps on here, and did step by step write ups and pictures. So you just need to follow the removal part. So don' tell me that you couldn't find anything, or no one would help you. You should have just said you are too ignorant or lazy to search and read. Also there are plenty of other places to find this information such as: -> http://www.srswap.com/faq/index.asp. Ya its not step by step but it's a start. If the engine is out of the car, than there is no need to keep the thread open is there? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
