I am the owner of a 1993 240SX. The fourth I have since
they started to sell it in Mexico in 1993. This last one I've got
has rear end troubles. The Super Hicas warning lamp turns on
when the car is cold. Also, after several days of being parked,
when you turn the engine on and push the brake pedal very
strange noises come from the rear end. can this be caused
by Hicas or the ABS?. Is there a way to disconect Hicas?.
As always, I can not get the spected help from the dealer.
Hope some one can help me. Thanks.

if the problem is fixed by adding more PS fluid, then you probably have a PS fluid leak.

Ditto.. sounds like a power steering leak.  My HICAS light came on, but it was a result of the belts needing to be replaced... If they slip, it'll come on.  The HICAS system is pretty simply... It uses your PS fluid and is hydraulic, but controlled electronically...
