Check your batteries cables and clean them with a wire brush. I had the same problem a few years ago and it was from my battery ground cable being corroded

i see.. but it happened when i tried starting my car.. and my starter was bad to begin with. Some old white doode said it was good to turn the key back n forth rapidly when ur starters fucked up to make it last a while. It did but now its completly dead. But I checked my terminals and they don't look corroded (no white stuff) and I grounded it to bare chassis (where the old seatbelt bracket was) It was working fine for the last 3 months. What else could it be just incase? Would it be a fuse or somthing? relay that popped? cuz it just happened all of a sudden

I think you answered your own questions, first you know the starter is bad, so replace it, to check and see if the alternator is bad, (if you can get your car to start,) check for voltage, you should be reading ~15 volts if its good.

If your alternator is bad, with the car running remove the positive terminal to the battery. If the car shuts off, you have a bad alternator.
If the quick stopping, starting your talking about with the seatbelts is what I think it is, then its sounds more like a chatter. Try greasing up the track that the seatbelt rides on. |

Thats a good idea! BUT MY CAR WONT EVEN START. The seat belt track is ok BUT it was stuttering with all the lights in my dash blinking, twitching guages, and i think the window motor was hesitating because i needed to physically help them close. Hopefully its just my starter completly fried.

Holy fuck, I can't believe I'm reading this.
Starter does nothing but start the car, period. Anything wrong with it would not effect anything else in the car. Not a thing. Alternator powers the car and recharges the battery when the car is running. If it hasn't even started yet, the alternator isn't doing anything. The battery powers the car before starting, powers the starter during start, and receives a charge from the alternator once the car is running. This is all very, very basic automotive knowledge. So if you're having problems without even starting it, the battery or the battery's wiring is the culprit, not anything else. I'm amazed no one seems to know that. Suggesting that the starter or alternator is the problem is like saying a flat tire is caused by a radio that's too loud.

DUH IM SO FUCKING DUMB...but that's where im lost...HOW CAN THE BAT. WIRES BE MESSED UP? everything was ok i just drove it to the gass station, new wires... can't it be a fuse? FOR SURE MY STARTER is messed up though because it hasn't been starting normally for 3 months. (IT DOESN'T START ONCE I TURN THE KEY, I HAVE TO CRANK IT A BUNCH OF TIMES RAPIDLY TO START IT) i've been doing that for 3 months and i guess finally it just died on me along with retarded electrical..maybe i blew a fuse?
