I havent gone that far yet but mine is pretty much hidden.  I have mine mounted at the corner of the driver side dash.  I took the wire and jammed it between the side of the dash and the frame.  Used my key to push it back and then put the wiring behind the kick panel.  I then ran my extension wire under my floor mat and up next to the gear shifter and into the cigarette lighter.  A little wire shows, but I got tired of making it neat.  Let me know how yours turns out cause I may do the same.

Here's what I did:
I hardwired my radar detector to the pos. wire of the cig. lighter.  I just cut the wire off of the lighter since it didn't work anyways and i have no use for it.  I installed a small on-off-on switch into the power mirror control assembly (small switch fits nice in that blank space on the controller) and hooked the pos. wire of the radar detector and the pos. from lighter to it.  I attached the neg. to one of the screws under the centerconsole.  I needed the switch because I didn't want the radar detector to stay on when the car was off and didn't feel like reaching to it every time to turn it off.  I didn't bother to hide the wire because it would require much more work and i don't mind it that much anyways.  I have the detector set up a little above the dash in the middle of the windshield so it can actually use the 360 degree feature it has, and the wire runs down the dash, and under the center console to the switch.

Anything I missed?  Just ask.

I have mine hardwired in my vert. I also ran it from the cig lighter. It shuts off/turns on with the ignition. I ran the wires under the headliner, down the a-pillar, behind the dash and right under the steering column and straight through the radio compartment. That adds to the multitude of things running off of the cig lighter - amp, head unit, pivot headlight controller, indiglo gauges, and radar, lol... the cig lighter was always broke anyway!

Well, my girlfriend and I just did it <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> &nbsp;... meaning the radar detector thing. &nbsp; We totally fucked up my cigarette lighter... it doesnt work anymore. &nbsp; But we wired it up the power mirror switch in the center consol. &nbsp; We ran positive to one of the &nbsp;wires from the harness, and then ran the ground to the screw that connects the e brake to the car. &nbsp;and then i ran the coiled wire up behind my radio and heater. and then brought the wire out thru one of the vents.. ill try and post a pic later.
