Just curious, has anybody modded their KA24E/KA24DE until they got satisfactory HP out of it. I plan on droppin in a SR20DET later but 4 now i want 2 see what this car can do. NA of course (not worth a turbo). Also what were your results. By the way can someone give me a good online parts store JDM/USDM. Looking for tailights 4 my 240.

don't waste money on something that you aren't going to even use in the future. putting a turbo on the KA isn't a bad thing, plus then a port and polish would be helpful in the long run. If you want the SR, then don't spend a single dime on the KA, don't even put new spark plug wires on it. Just save and get the SR as soon as possible, then you will have a engine you can work on.
I would guess, that the only difference you would have between a stock head and a polished head is the psychological feeling that your car is now faster, but really isn't. Don't waste your time By the way, your ?, "has anybody modded their KA24E/KA24DE until they got satisfactory HP out of it" the answer is yes. but it doesn't start with port and polish, it starts with cams and higher compression and things that really make a difference. All of which is useless to you if you go to an SR.
