4.36 r&p and high hp?

alot of people seem to really like the 4.36 r&p and i am considering replacing my 3.9(j30 diff) with the 4.36, but i am not sure if those gears will be to high(numarically) for my setup. my s13 is currently at 404 whp/348tq and is used mainly for steet driving with a little bit of drag strip and road course driving(basically an allround setup).

will the 4.36 be to high and just cause traction issues(doing more harm than good)?

any opinions form people running 4.36 r&p with ~350hp would be good too.

current rear tires: sumatumo(sp?) hrzII's 245/40/16, however i am looking at going to a 17 inch wheels with azeni rt-615 soon.

thanks,

aaron
