Question 100miles with half a tank?

no wayyy in half a gas tank my odo reads +100 more miles so my odo is off by a lot..has this happened 2 anyone else? maybe thats why the supposed chassis miles is 243k :-0 scary like a motha fucka!

also i get really bad mpg i fill it up usually with unleaded 91 on an sr20det
my car goes through gas like a nasty pig that it is btw its an 89 s13

this is getting me really mad because whenever i drive a 40minute drive at 75mph
i waste half a gas tank

is this okay? i really doubt it has to consume that much gas

Maybe you need a tune up? I can do 330-400 miles consistently (depending on trips) on my SR with bolt ons

Are you in boost everywhere you drive? Most people who just get their SR's keep it in boost the whole time, and get bad mileage. If you drive it more conservatively you will get awesome (better than KA) mileage.

I fuel up when I get to the quarter tank mark, and the last tank I did 300miles, so I'm sure I could have gotten like 350-360 miles if I really pushed it.

sounds like you need a tune up and tuning. What fuel management are u running?

Also a lead foot is heavy on the gas tank. FYI.

try cleaning your maf sensor, check timing, check spark plugs, if they are wet then you are running too rich = bad mileage. also change your fuel filter if you haven't already. start from there.

thanks guys for the replies
as for my sparkplugs i got the ngk iridium 7's on a stockish sr20det redtop
these sparkplugs definetely changed my idling after driving the car for any time longer than 5 min. while i let it sit to cool off ( since i dont have a turbo timer) lol ...i hear rattlin down through my downpipe and throughout my exhaust .. this happened after i changed to the 7's and previously i had some bosch ones.. anywho yes my bad mileage is very very bad i am in stock boost but i do have to say that i am constantly give it a good big foot push from 2nd gear to 3rd gear many times :/ its just tempting... but i dont think my mileage should be that bad! .. and also

how do i determine what fuel management i am running?

btw i use unleaded 91 just incase it matters
