resistor and condenser

could someone help me out and check their resistor and condensor pack for the resistor value. i think its supposed to be 2.2k but im not sure and the fsm isnt very descriptive. if you have the means could you also check the capacitance of the condenser?

I needed to know this because i have a code 21. Come to find out i didnt even have the resistor and condenser pack, it looks like it was melted away and someone just tapped up the wires.

well i soldered in a 2.8k resistor between the lg/b and y/r wires and the code is gone now. i also used my consult software to see the cranking sig and its there too, i guess you dont really need the condenser part. i think its just there for power to the transistor for a second or 2 after the ignition is turned off.

I just discovered mine is fried and melted away too. I found the part at courtesyparts.com for $5. It's listed as "Ignition Condenser" # 28351M.

I guess I'll wire the resistor in place in the mean time.

Thanks for posting the info on what resistor to use.
