5 spd ecu wont connect to harness

just finished my 5 speed swap, and am trying to get the wiring finished up. heres my problem: the auto ecu attaches just fine to the harness, but when i go to attach the 5 speed there is a stud that gets in the way of the 10 mm bolt on the harness. below is a pic. ive tried using channel locks to twist that stud out, but it seems pretty well attached. any ideas?

just use the auto ecu...im actually running an auto ecu on my 5 speed...it actually overrides the governor so you can go as fast as your engine will go =)

Cut the stud off, plug in the ECU and wrap some tape around everything...

that exactly right! no limiter and may have a better fuel map. as for the pin, i would guess to remove it if at all possible.

FYI: I swapped an 97 OBD-II engine/5spd trans, harness and auto ECM into my 89 coupe. It was a PITA to convert the dash and chassis wiring to the s14 harness... stick with OBD-I (S13) KA24DE stuff if you are s13.
