I just got These pedals today and I have no idea how to attach them. They have holes and bolts to attach them to the stock pedals but I can't drill through the stock pedals w/out hitting the bar they are welded to. I REALLY don't want to cut my old ones out and weld the new ones in, but it looks like that is the only way I can do it. Anybody have ideas? West, I know you had similar pedals to these...did you ever put yours in?

The post isn't big enough to drill through. I just finished searching old posts and it turns out when I asked about these a while back LanceS13 has the same exact ones. So, how'd you install them Lance?

nah, i think that a good kneel on the floor next to your car cursing at yor pedal and then snap a drill bit project if you know what im saying. use a sharp metal (as opposed to wood) bit and start the hole with a good sharp awl or punch - good luck <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Good point. Heh, nothing's simple when it comes to cars. I'll be sure to take pics when I get them in.

They came with bolts so I hope it will work the way west described. &nbsp;I don't even know how I would get my head down there to see what I'm welding...

Hey WEST is right &nbsp;I have the same ones and you have to drill into the pedal after you take off the rubber ones. &nbsp; Some hard work but well worth it. &nbsp; They look great.

I like those pedals - I know their a PITA to install, but you are crazy if you have clip ons... that is not somthing you want falling off when you need to use them in a hurry (like brakes!:o). &nbsp;I'd install nothing less.

BTW: while you are doing the install, you may want to place washers under the pedal covers to raise the level of the lower pedal. &nbsp; This can help your ability to heel and toe. &nbsp;(IIRC, it's the gas that needs to be shimmed up to make it easier)

they come with locknuts, but I guess you can never be too safe

looks like I'm a day (or five) late...but I'll see if I can give some useful input.
Offset the pedals on the metal plate to get them where you want them...and to avoid the metal shafts. &nbsp; You can put the gas and brake too close so be careful. &nbsp; You don't want to go for the brake and catch the gas pedal too! :o &nbsp;Be patient with the clutch petal...it's most difficult b/c the the metal shaft is attached to the petal plate at an angle. &nbsp;I had to grind some of the shaft back to get clearance for the bolt. &nbsp; If you put your mind to it and have a good punch and a good drill, you can get it done in an hour tops. &nbsp; The rubber nipples are a project on their own. &nbsp; If freezing doesn't work, try soap...or both....and generous amounts of elbow grease. &nbsp;Good luck...I enjoy mine. &nbsp;I can finally easily heal-toe now.

I HAVE NO FEELING IN MY THUMB! #### those rubber things were a bitch. I put them in kinda sideways and cramed the other side in with a key (key was closer than the screwdriver:)) I'll finally have time to put the pedals on today (tuesday) and my sways and fstb are supposed to come in today as well, woot! I'll let you all know how it goes when I get it done. Thanks for the tips!
