hey im just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem to what im having. ive got a 93 coupe (KA) that is dying on cold start up. everything ran perfect until i washed the motor (with it running). now my e-brake light is on all the time and my charge indicator is on really dim. after looking at the wiring diagram it looks like the e-brake and charge indicator are the only dash lights grounded through the alternator. i tested it with a VAT-65 and it had 90A output and the diodes were good. its been over a month since the issue started and just letting it dry out hasnt worked, any ideas?

whats the charging voltage?

my guess would be a bad alternator...nooooww did you say you were washing(meaning using water) on your motor while it was running?...did spray water all over the motor to wash...why would you do that while it was running?...not trying to be a dick or anything im just wondering cause you might of shorted something out maybe
