98 ka24de motor use 91 ka24de ecu?

Hey Guys, I swaped auto tranny to manual tranny , My car running very well , But Idle doen not go down , 1500rpm when i stop on neutual. So I search thread for manual swap , They said need to change manual ECU.
My question is " I have 91 ka24de ECU( I bought from ma friend) . Can i use on my 98 ka24de engine and tranny? Please let me know. Thanks -Mark

I don't think you have to use the 5 speed ecu...not positive though.

Your idle issue could be due to your TPS. Try resetting your idle.

In addition, I don't think the 91 ECU would work...too many different sensors between '91 s13 and '98 s14. If you swapped all of the sensors (engine and tranny), you still may have issues with the cluster and HVAC.

Maybe someone else will chime in.

What year is the car? There are a few motor parts that have to be used from an s13 to use an s13 ECU. So unless you have an s13 motor, I don't believe you can use it. I think you also need an s13 wiring harness as well, though I could be wrong.

Yep, you'll need the harness to match the ECU aswell as swap some sensors over.
