s14 air bag ecu Q

Was wondering does the ecu control the airbags or do they have their own seperate controller? Reason is Iam going ka-t and will be using a s13 ecu with a conversion harness so I wanted to know if it will effect the airbags or not.

why do you want to use a s13 ecu and a conversion harness?? i thought the s14 ecu would do just fine...

but i dont think the air bag is controlled by the ecu.

certain s14 ecu are very hard to chip and cost alot more, I already have a s13 ka-t with a chipped ecu so Iam just going to use that.

ah ok! just weird to me cause we have a tuner here that can tune any KA ecu for $300

perhaps you should look a little further into seeing if that can be done for you also. mainly being i hate wiring lol

There is a seperate ecu under the rear seat. You can use a standalone ecu and the airbags will still work.
