CAN I pass tech???

will be replacing front windshield on my 13 tomorrow, however the HUD replacement is WAY out of budget

so i have to settle with the glass w/out the reflector, though my HUD works fine

so the glass replacement shop offered to cut the HUD reflector out of my cracked window and glass glue it to the brand new window

since the actual "brand new" glass does not have any cracks, but the HUD reflector which maybe glued to the new glass has a slight crack in it, will i still be able to pass tech

because really there are no cracks in the front glass

tech advice need thx

Use a piece of tint where the HUD reflects.

It's kinda a waste of money, in my opinion. I can still see my HUD just fine, the only problem is that it ghosts, or reflects multiple images in differing brightnesses.

My car I had with HUD, had a nasty windshield. We got it replaces with a non HUD windshield. I could see it just fine, in some lighting conditions like sunset driving into the sun it was hard to read, but for the cost differance I was able to deal with it. With tint it would be even more visable, at least in my opinion.

Cutting glass and all that bs is WAY too much hassle.

Just go to a tent shop and get a square piece of window tent. Slap it on and you're set.

No need to waste money on some elaborate setup; which sounds horribly ugly.

Tent, tint. Penis, Vagina.

It's all relative.
