hey guys i was just asking for some help i was wondering how to identify whether the motor is from a zenki or kouki s14, what is there to look for or what not thnx in advance. yes im noob haha

COPIED THIS OFF ANOTHER SITE
You can go by what the ECU says
#WE (Red Sticker) - Model Before Minor Change (Zenki)1995-96
#WC (Red Sticker) - Model Before Minor Change (Zenki) 1995-96
#WC (Black/White Sticker) - Model After Minor Change (Kouki)1997-98
Phase2's old FAQ, so I am not positive how accurate this is.

However rather than going by that it may be easier to look at the ECU's serial number below the big letters.

23710-69F00 = early model (Zenki) S14 Manual ECU
23710-69F11? = early model (Chuki) S14 Auto ECU [Zenki ECU, Kouki MAFS]
23710-80F00 = late model (Kouki) S14 Manual ECU
23710-80F10 = late model (Kouki) S14 Auto ECU

Your gonna get super flamed for not searching. Hence all the red squares you have.

If the ECU code is NA then its a s14 Kouki motor.

rule of thumb

no cooling fins = zenki
cooling fins = kouki

different coilpacks w/ fins = s15
