it all depends on the amount of money you're willing to spend.

I haven't heard about any KA's going up that high yet... 300hp is the max i've heard from a KA engine. it can prolly go higher, i just haven't heard about one yet.

the SR20DET can get up to 475hp (or so i've been told) by doing some mods [cams, turbo, injectors, pistons...] but not having to touch the bottom end.

the RB26DETT and the RB25DET could get u up to those numbers pretty easy

and the Tomei engines[SR21DET;SR22DET] (if you can afford) will get u to 500 hp with no problem... plus they got mad amounts of torque to come w/ that.
anyone know what the price for a SR22DET (TSR380) is?
the SR21 costs ~$10k USD(anyone know the exact amount?)....

Remember Duy's car who ran 10.8 1/4 mile? He had 550whp, I believe. The car is sweet... some guy bought it off of Duy... Well... they traded. The guy gave Duy his '99 Civic Si and Duy gave him his Dope f'n 240SX. The kid showed up with the car at the last Texas meet.

I just did a DET swap, but the RB25 would be sweet. You can't beat an inline 6, and the price is reasonable too, compared to these hot SR's. From what these guys on the forum have been saying, it's a very easy swap too. Go drive a newer Supra or a M3 and you'll be hooked on the smoothness and torque of a I-6.

the only way i can think of you getting that amount of HP is if you do a total build up and slap a Greedy t88 turbo kit on what every platform you use

Non Fujiita's S14 has a Tomei engine in it ( 2.1L )
it runs 350hp at the crank.
go to his site to check it out: http://www.enonvativforce.com/home.htm

as for the engines. i think they've been bored out for a bigger displacement.
the reason they cost so much is the fact that they've been literally "pre-souped" up for you. HUGE injectors on the 2.2L engine, tomei cams, pistons, blah blah blah.
check out tomei's site: www.tomei-p.co.jp i think that's the address, if not, just go look it up on a search engine.
it'll b in japanese.

the site doesn't work?

it'd likely be a nissan engine of some sort if it's JDM.
and if it's 4 cylinder.. you can prolly guess it'd be an SR20
the signal auto silvias and 180SX have the tomei engines in them do they not? running 500hp easy?
