Hey everyone, I switched over to mobil 1 synthetic 10w30 after 49k of dino oil and I noticed a slight ticking sound from the lifters afterwards.  Have any of you experienced this?  Is this ticking reason for concern?  I also switched to using a K&N oil filter from a Pennzoil but I don't see how that would create a problem.

Here is an excellent reference for anyone thinking about switching from petroleum based oil to synthetic...

The Engine Oil Bible

That ticking noise you are hearing is called lifter tick and goes away once the car warms and oil is circulated.  I have this on my Z32 as well.
