Well after a good 3-4 hours today, I successfully installed my HKS Super Dragger II by myself. I was faced with many problems, especially the rusted bolts and tow hook part. It took me a good 25-30 mins to use a hack saw to dig through my tow hook. Every back breaking (hurting) min, every cut, every ouce of sweat, was DEFINATELY worth the work. The exhaust is awesome, though a bit loud. I predict it will quiet down a bit later on in the week. I will probably post a review about it, or maybe this is it. I bought the exhaust for my S13 about a week and a half ago from jspec for 500 shipped. It was well worth the money. I hope to have pics up sometime later this week. Well thanks for readiny my rant

hmm kinda makes me wonder how hard it's going to be to install an exhaust on my car... but good job on the work and I'm also pretty sure that it is going to quite down after awhile.

I found a few good tricks. First try to attach the exhaust to the cat, as best you can doesnt have to be tightend. Then lube the hangers w/ wd40 or something similar. Then put the hangers on the very back. Also if you need help getting the exhaust to sorta be in the air while you're trying to get it on the cat... use a floor jack or tire jack if you have the stock one. After while, you'll get the angle right. If you have a friend willing to help, by all means dont pass it up!

hope you have a good install

Hey david it is not hard to install a exhaust trust me alot easyier then the CAI install just alot heavier. He was installing a duel exhaust if iirc the super drager has a pipe on each side so it would be alot harder. The apex-i n1 dual was kinda a pain just cus of the weight 30+lbs of pure metal ahahaha lol.But shooot the hangers down wit some wd40 to get it off and to install re-lube the hangers again.A friend to help make things alot easier as long as they don't drop the exhaust on your hand and cut ya like my friend did cus it was so heavy in the position we were working in.Oh well.

Hey I came up with the jack stand one. BTW the Super Dragger II is one pipe, 85mm... the shipping weight was 35lbs so I imagine the actual weight is something close to that.

oh, i know its not hard to install an exhaust. I installed a N-1 my friends 2.5rs atleast i think it was an n-1 it was made by apexi (took about 30mins..... the same day though we put upper and lower engine mounts in my friends z24.....2hrs!. It just seems like people with older 240's are having more problems with exhaust installations.

Yeah it may just be S13's. When I got the bolts and hangers off the old exhaust, I couldnt figure out why it wouldnt come off. Turns out the heat shield around the cat, had like molded to the bottom of the old exahust.. had to pry it off... Even worse the bolts were like melted too so I couldnt just get rid of it all together...

Its decently loud (about 10 times louder inside than outside). Its also EXTREMELY deep. I love it. I almost dont want it to quiet down

Congrats on the exhaust. My super dragger is pretty quiet, but damn deep. My piping is only 65 (or 60; can't remember off hand) mm though...just remember...speed bumps can scrape this canister with enough speed.

You going down to Cali in December for the sr? I am still shooting for it, but don't know.

Chicks dig the car, beer makes ugly chicks hot, practice makes perfect...lots of ass, so little time.

Condo is a go, but money maybe the issue...budget should work out though for the swap.

I was always under the impression it got quieter, and a few days ago it did. Its still very nice though, and the tone of the sound hasnt really changed, just the volume I guess.
