s13 Problems

Ok so I'm looking at an s13 an heres the crap I can kinda tell that is wrong, but could be others, looking for some insight

water/steering belt needs to be tightened (car heats up to high but then returns to normal, I assume the belt isnt gripping the water pump enough)

rough idle - TPS?

cant get above 2500 rpm - was told that was MAFS

thick black smoke out the rear end (smells like gas) - was told could be a couple things - bad plugs/injectors/ or even worse, needs engine rebuild for new piston rings/lose of compression

engine has 196,000 miles on it, which iv been informed is a sh*t ton for 240's

engine rebuild time? (i'd rather not be without a car for 2 weeks)

maybe the waterpump is already shot. i wouldnt recommend buying it for starter. but if you are ready to put money into it. go for it
