Flip-up light problems

Just to let you guys know that it is the same post on freshalloy if you have seen it. I just wanted more advices from more people since i can't seem to find the answer or solution after like 4 months already.

My light will not go down anymore. This have been happening for a while now. Sometimes it works for like a day but then it will stop again for a long time. Everytime it stops working, a 25a fuse called Ret Mtr in the engine bay near the coolant reservoir would popped. But if i pulled out the relay in the same place called H/L ret cont, the fuse will not blow. And also, the fuse will not blow if i turn the light knob to acc. or to headlight with the relay back in. Again if this doesn't make any sense, it only blows the fuse which stop the headlight from going down when i turn the light knob to off position, this is with the relay in place. I know there is a short somewhere and it is really hard for me to trace it down with very little knowledge of it. Wondering if anyone can help me. Also if pull off the headlight motors, the fuse still pops so i know the motors are fine. I been trying to look for sign of burnt but haven't had any luck.

thanks for any advice...

Also if you don't wanna help, please, i don't need you to talk trash.

Check above your driver side front wheel to see if your wire warness has been rubbed through.

do you have the FSM? just trace the wires. If it pops without the motor then you do have a short ( i was goingn to say bad motor).

hmmm this might be really hard for you then. you do use a multimeter, but set it to ohms.

I took out the relay called ret cont in the engine bay in the fuse box near the coolant reservoir. If i take it out the fuse will not pop any more and the headlight will not go down. So in order for the headlight to go up and down you will need the ret cont relay and also the 25amp ret mtr fuse to work. So if the relay is in connected the fuse will blow, if i take the relay out it won't. Also, the fuse will blow only when i turn the light knob back to off position or if i click the light toggle switch to retract it down.

second thought though, but if the timer unit is bad why would it pops the fuse? Wouldn't it just stop working at all?

Ok i checked the timer unit, the one near the driver foot, a small square-shape box. I replaced it with my friend working box and it still burst the fuse. I also checked all four relays relating to the headlight under the intake. All relays seem to be working fine. But it kept on bursting the fuse if i have the relays plug in. Another things is that when the 25a ret mtr fuse burst and if i click the up and down toggle light switch, the h/l ret down was clicking.
