started my car 2day after swaping in an SR engine and drove it around, i looked into my exhaust pipe and there was a bunch of black burnt oil, i had a lot of shaft play on my turbo could this be the reason?? im pretty sure that my piston rings are fine because my compression # were good, does anyone got any advice, im pretty new to this turbo stuff.. thanks

as far as i know a little end play is always expected and not a problem.

are you running a cat? this could just be soot that you're seeing.

its been touching really bad haha yess i need a new turbo

id say your turbo is fried. Ive worked on alot of DSM's, and usually when they burnt oil, their turbos were shot.

this also happened, when i was parked with my car on i free reved my engine and the bov sound was comming from my intake side...what does that mean?? i wasnt building boost because i was just sitting there ...please help me out
