SR20 S14 oil pickup tube on Redtop

Hey guys,

I am changing my oil pickup tube on my S13 SR Redtop. Man, am I glad I did! It was dented!

Anyway, I noticed that the S13 oil pickup tube has circular indentation that requires an O-ring to be placed there. This is on the flange that mounts to the oil pump. The S14 pickup tube's flange is completely flat. There is no place to put an O-ring.

Is it reasonable for me to expect that I can just mount the S14 oil pickup tube to the oil pump without any gasket and not have any leaks? If not, what should I seal it with? Silicon gasket sealer?

I hope to get a quick answer so I can get this put back together tonight!

Thanks!

get the flanged re welded its only tacked weld. vibration will get that pipe disconnected that will lead to oil starvation then will spin a bearing. more damage it can cause. i think u can use another gasket from the oil dump
