Me and my girlfriend have decided to start on a S13 project car and want to get a RB25det in it.  Besides the motor mounts what else do we have to get custom fabricated for it to fit?  Is there going to be any need to get the wires for the ECU lengthend, and if so does any one know of a diagram to follow to do it?  Will we need to also get tranny mounts fabricated?  Custom drive shaft?
I need to know everything I can(ive been SEARCHING and lurking for awhile now, so Im about to start throwing alot of questions out for stuff I don't know).  We plan to start at the end of the summer.  Buying the engine first(any one know of a cheaper place to get a front clip then www.venus-auto.com ?)then the car.  Im planning on spending about 3-4 years getting the car to where We want it to be.  Looking for(eventually) 400+ HP to the rear wheels.  5 lug converstion with coilovers, sway bars, strut bars, etc...and big brakes.
any other advice you can think of would be welcomed

Lurking is limited to under a month now?

The RB25DET swap is something you should be VERY financially secure for, not to mention have two daily drivers and a sack of fucking time...

To me I dont see the true gain from this.  Take that money and drop that into the ka24e or de depending on your year and build that bitch into the beutiful beast that she is?  Adding .1 to your displacement and a shit load of A/M support isnt going to worth the money you are about to dump into it.

If anything I would like to see what the possibilites are of swapping a 80's VG30DET into my lil 180sx.... but im sure thats a bit fucking off too...

Because you have to register to lurk?... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/dozingoff.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
This would be a project car only, so it is fesible for it to sit on blocks for a year or two. &nbsp;Currently me and my girlfriend are discussing other options. &nbsp;I wasnt too gung-ho on this idea(to much money for not enough speed) but she really likes the idea of this swap. &nbsp;Ill just have to wait and see what happans. &nbsp; Thanks for the replies

you will need mounts from the r32, a new clutch, driveshaft(costom), a tranny crossmember from an r32 and the ecu, oil filters, and about a month to get it in.

note, you can't boost past 1 bar without serious promblems, you will need the 2mm head gasket for more than that. (1 bar=14.5psi)

if you want 400hp get a sr20det,

Sounds like a made up number to me. Do you have any experience to back that statement up?

it's all research, talk to the guys at skylinesdownunder.com in the foroum, &nbsp;they ALL have rb25det in r32-r33 gts and gtst's and not a single one of them will run past 1 bar without either running octane 106 or a bigger head gasket. &nbsp;Go a do a search if you don't beleive me.
