Passenger Window Quit Working

I searched the forums a few times with no results, so..

My passenger window went out and I'm just trying to get an idea of what you all think it would be. It never showed any signs of struggle, it just quit working overnight one night. It is all the way up right now and when I try to roll it down it DOES NOT make the click noise that the amp makes when it's bad. The door locks work from the same side, and I cannot roll it down from the drivers side or the passengers.

When a power window motor goes out does it normally show signs of weakness before it goes, or does it just stop suddenly?

Does this sound like it's the motor?

Thanks for any and all help!

So you're getting no sound whatsoever when pushing the button for either up or down?

I'd assume it's a bad motor. Take off the panel and see what you can figure out. Could also be that the connections are loose.

Alright, I'll check it out, thanks for the help. Are there any tests I could do to test the motor?

would that stop the driverside controls from working on the passenger window as well? I figured that would just make the passenger side controls stop working.

^I don't remember off hand.

But to test the motor remove it and connect it directly to the battery to see if the motor works. If not you have wiring issues.

could be the window track got bent. happened to me out of no where. sitting there workin on a buddys car in my garage and it started rainin so i went to roll my windows up and the passenger side just stopped. what is normally a 20 sec window roll up turned into an hour of wtf? finally realized (at this point it was dark) the track was fucked and all bent up. no idea how it happened. bent the track back so it connected to the window again and got it to roll up. Nissan said something like $200+ to repair... I just dont use my passenger side window anymore.

if it's the motor, easiest way to check is...

u need...

1 booster pack
2 x small wires

connect each wire to 1 neg and 1 pos

put them into the motor plug (one way will make it go UP and by switching the wires, it will make the motor go DOWN)

let me know!

I went through EVERYTHING about 240 windows and I'd be more than happy to help you out!

I'll bet 5 bucks its the realay. take off the door panel and look at the switch if the contacts on it looked burned replace it. by the way those switches/relays for the windows go out a lot faster then the motors.

It coooould be all those things... but sometimes it doesn't hurt to check the obvious.

My buddy had this problem and we checked EVERYTHING... wiring / motor, etc etc.

Then, while we have everything apart... he's like hold on I got it....

The window lock button was clicked.

so make sure you check that... haha.
