Easiest and simpliest way is put your KA and SR tranny side by side. Swap the corresponding sensors. There should be 1 maybe 2 extra sensor on the KA one that the SR wont have. Reason for this is so you can use your KA lower harness. For the most part, other than the extra KA sensor that you wont have, everything else should just plug up to their original stock location.

you don't wire anything on the lower harness. You reuse your old tranny sensors and use your old lower harness.

ORR

you use the sr harness and use the sr tranny sensors.

if you have a 180sx kouki lower harness the pigtail for the speed sensor is different. Than the older style.

OK i will explain this best i can cause i just did this with a new dohc one from superior. Every plug that wires to the BLOCK is exactly the same. all the grounds and plugsfit right in, no splicing req.
what is is this: on the tranny you will see your ka harness has 4 plugs at the end of it, while the sr20 harness will most likely just have two plugs for the tranny. match up the colors from both sets and swap the sr plugs onto the ka harness. super easy. the other two plugs on that harness at the latter part of it are unused. so in closing there will be 4 out of the 8 total wires at the end of the harness that are used.. finally you have the speed sensor. mine was allready spliced in 3 times over so i just guessed which wire to which ( two wires i think one is yellow/blue stripe) and prayed i got it right, which i did.

I don't know if these will help you, but I drew up some diagrams when I was splicing the lower harness together.

Help me keep it straight on what was what.

Turns out...The KA plugs/harness to Cut Off is on the KA UPPER ENGINE HARNESS not on the lower harness - WIRING DVD does not say this nor does any of the other Write Ups I've seen say this (just says "cut here ______..and splice on KA plugs"...as well as the Plugs Other "ENDS" you then Splice onto the SR harness are Located Near the front headlight/Pass fender damn near Tucked away (Buddy of mine Slid them almost in the Fender - Thats the reason I couldn't find where to Plug the New plugs you solder onto the SR Harness.)

once again...there are Numerous Things that Most Write up's either MISS or DO NOT EVEN Tell you about.

Theres even something FRSPORTS write Up missed....well @least on my Harness there were not 2 Green w/ Yellow stripes (For A/C) - only 1 and another color Similar,...though def not Green w/ yellow. That was where they noticed 2 of the same Wire on the SR side but only 1 on the KA side to make A/C work.

Anyway.Figured it all out...and now am running the harness to all the plugs and should have it up & running tonight.

Somehow I have a Bunch of Negitives (for battery post) to figure out....why I would have so many.Thats all I've got Now.

thanks everyone.I was told there use to be an OLD WIRING DIAGRAM that was Hand Drawn that Heavy throttle use to use....it was Supposedly by FAR the best diagram ever....or so I'm told by my SR20 OGangster Guru Friends.
