if you have a 89-90 , would going with a SR20DET swap be a good solution. or going with a KA24DET swap...

i can see that the KA-T might[dont really know] be cheaper, than the SR20DET depending if i can find one for a good deal..

but im guessing some of the ppl who do this already have a KA24DE, which i don't .. so do most ppl w/ SOHC go SR?

and how much does a turbo kit for a KA usually run? and what are the HP figures?

Me personally id go with the SR20DET less tuning and more available parts, also it can rev higher and i think it can produce just as much HP as a KA-T but not as much torque.

But if you are thinking of doing a KA-T i would recomend buying a new motor with the least amount of miles on it as possible...

New KA motor 500-700
Turbo kit 3-4,000
all parts needed custom piping inter cooler and other items im guessing 2-3,000

SR front clip 2-4,000
someone to install if you dont know how 1500-2,000
other items needed intercooler guages and so on 1-2,000

someone correct me if im wrong its late and i dont know what im talking about &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sleeping.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':zzzz:'>

I'm not sure where you got 2-3K for intercooler piping and intercooler. &nbsp;I'd say about 800 for the intercooler(depending on which one) and another maybe 300 for the piping. &nbsp;If you piece together a kit you could have one for about 2-3K, one thats 'better' than the kits sold. &nbsp;

Personally I would just go turbo on your SOHC. &nbsp;www.realnissan.com just started selling the manifold by themselves for like 350 or something like that. &nbsp;I think the single cam has a little more potential that the dual cam. &nbsp; Iknow it does N/A, but turbo might be a different story.
