I finally payed off my loans, so now I have some extra money to through around on my car. I have already ordered new exhaust, and cold air intake, and right now it is in the shop making sure that it is in great condition. But I do think that I will have some extra money after it gets outta the shop today and I was wondering if there would be any more gauges that I can put on my dash or around my dash that would be worth getting.

I obviously already have a tach so im not gonna be an idiot and get another, but I do like the look of gauges around the driver seat, and im wondering if there are any that would be worth getting that I can look at an actually get something outta it?

lemme see....... ah, how about oil pressure gauge or maybe an air\fuel gauge to see if you're running rich or lean. you should just go turbo so you can put in a boost gauge haha! those are cool to look at. i hear the apex'i ones are good.

thx man, I will look into getting those because those are the ones that I have been seeing more often and making sure im running lean sounds pretty nice, and

welcome to the forums !

Also, I have a 93 240sx, and I was wondering what the regular oil pressure SHOULD be for my car?  Or will it differ with every single car?

Don't get an A/F guage. Those things arent accurate. Get an EGT and find ur cars range and judge from that.

I'd say on a mildly tuned NA car, oil pressure and water temp are going to be the most telling and will provide you with far more advanced warning than the "too late" indicators that come stock on the dash.

I hate it when people have all stock gauges and put in this huge 5 inch tach on their dash and nothing else. I think it just looks rediculously tacky. It's even worse when someone sticks it on an automatic.

Boost (turbo only)
Oil Press
A/F ratio (more useful on turbo'd engines)
Oil Temp.
EGT (exhaust gas temp)
Water Temp.

are some of the more important gauges.

Analog clock. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

save the money you are going to use on the gauges. After while all your saved up money can buy a sr20det or a turbo setup for your N/A Ka24de and then you can buy those gauges that you always wanted and actually put them to use.
