When you buy a front clip, is it possible to take all the insides of the clip and put them on your car and turn it into RHD? Or is this just such a pain with welding and all that it is not worth it?

why would you wanna do that? definetaly not worthed unless if you live somewhere in asia (RHD)

Some guy on fresh alloy posted some pics of his rhd conversion. Alot of people think its a waste of time but i personally think it would be cool. But from what i hear there is alot of work involved.

Hey Redline, To answer your question it is possible to do this. You're going to spend serious bucks if you plan to maintain and reinforce the welded metal. In theory, you could actually make a better bond between the cabin and the clip, if don't properly. What most people do, including Justin Beno in Wisconsin is to cut the LHD firewall, cut the RHD firewal and weld it to the LHD chassis. This is probably your best best. Is it worth it? Well, depends if you've got the money and are ready for some serious downtime. If your car is your only means of transportation, forget about it. However, if it's your second car or you have long winters, then you might be okay. I've driven quiet a few RHD cars, it's fun, but the novelty might wear off. I was considering doing this to my S14, but decided against it, for now. If I did get a RHD S chassis car, I'd probably just try to sneak in an S15 or buy an R33 or R34 from Motorex, but that's just me. -ty |

yea a RHD drive conversion is definately unique makes u stand out i lived in guyana, SA til i was 16 and i learned to drive on RHD i thought about doing the RHD to my car but i know it's gonna cost rather get s15 conversion..

Depends if you get it retail or at auction. Also depends if the vehicle is ready to be driven or needs work. For a "fixer upper" you're probably looking anywhere from 5K-10K. For a car ready to drive, it's anywhere from 8K-14K. These are numbers I was given by an RI. -ty |
