yes i searched "alternator", but all i got was info i didnt need about how s14 zenki had like 90amp and we have 80amp and the quest/villager have 110amp, how ppls alternators r dead, blah blah. i was wondering if there is any other car that i can use the alternator off of. not the quest or the villager. i have 93 240sx with ka-de and was wondering if altima ones work or anyother car. i just wanna get something that i can find at my local junkyard (CHICO, CA) because i dont wanna let my car die on the highway.

Dude you have a ka24de, get an alternator that fits a ka24de from pepboys for 160 bucks and be done with it

. Turn in the old one for a core for 60 bucks. That's a new alternator for 100.

Used alternators are not always reliable, especially ones that are over 10 years old.

oo yeah i wanted to use one form somewhere else cuz im broke. i got rent to pay. id rather have a crappy car then have no place to live. my car is kinda crappy in the first place anyways, i still love it. just need good piant. runs good everything. but o yeah im kinda faded so this is y its so long and off topic. also i fixed it with a used one my buddies pic up for me. the end.

Sorry to bump such an old thread but its been almost a year,was wondering if anyone knew if a 95-97 Altima alternator would fit on a S14 and if the belts were the same?

Just remember, you can live in your car but you can't drive your house/apt to work.

Just noticed that this guy complained about having rent to pay, so not having money to fix his car.....but he has money to get high....

i took mine off (factory unit) and had it rebuilt for $80 w/ warranty. if you dont feel like spending 150-200, i'd suggest a rebuild.
