sr20det problem

i have a S14 Sr20det in a s13 hatch.. anyway.. when i take the car out for a spin and smash the gas the car will feel so slow from 1k-3k rpm then around 4k rpm it will bog a little, after the bogging the turbo start spooling and then the car start pulling. After letting off the gas, the engine will sometime just turn off by itself.

the only mod i got is a FMIC w/ a greddy type-rs bov vent to the air, and a 3 inch open downpipe and a aem uego wideband gauge and a autometer boost gauge

car is still on stock t28 at 8 psi and holds 8 psi
vaccuum on the car is at 20 psi

on idle the car is around 12.8-10.9 on the aem gauge.. look kind of rich for idle ?

Vaccuum level is good so prolly no leak there. Venting the BOV to atmospohere will cause you to run a little rich, possibly cause your car to stall when putting it in neutral to come to a stop. Sounds like it could be a MAF problem, run up to autozone and get some MAF cleaner and spary the leads and all with it, let it dry and see if it makes a difference. Also could be an exhaust leak, if there's a big enough leak you could be losing enough pressure that it's taking your tubo longer to spool up and would explain the bogging as well. Also, I've run open downpipe on my s13 sr, and it felt more sluggish than with my catback apexi. Prolly due to backpressure. That's just off the top of my head. Hope I helped.

Def sounds like your maf is dirty, or shot.

Couldnt be running that rich just because he was running an atmospheric blow off valve. maybe on an sti...but not on an sr. it does happen from time to time after hard runs...but not as often as he is experiencing.

An exhaust leak before the turbo... you would def know when its leaking. The only time ive ever experienced something like that was when my turbo inlet gasket blew...and i def. knew when it happened (car was soo loud)

After the turbo exhaust leak....not likely to cause a problem like hes having.
