well I have eibach sportlines on my s14. i think the drop is 1.8 all around. well anyways if i am not careul some speed bumps smash my tranny. I have seen a red 91 hatch with the slammed look and it looked geh. the poor bastard looks like he bottoms out on small dips in the road. anyways its totally up to you how much you drop your car, just know that the lower u go the bigger pain in the ass the car will be to drive.

Ask driftnpanda (danny) about slamming your car, he has plenty of experience. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='
![]() Nah. Seriously, don't cut your springs (or take them out). Get a good set of sleeved springs ("coil over" springs) and mate them to a good shock and you should be set.

If you get full coil overs just to slam your car, your just pissing money out the window. Handling is obviously not a concern for you. No one wants to hear another lecture, about why "slamming" your car is dumb. Just get some ground controls, crank them all the way down, and off you go. The fact that your shocks blow after a couple of months, won't matter much, because your car won't have the suspension travel to use them anyway. Just keep it under 60mph and everything will be A-OK.
I can tell you sport lines will not "slam" your car. For the amount they lower the car, they are far too soft. I have sport lines and Tokico HTS shocks, and am looking to upgrade soon. |

i got tein HE and i could slam my car but i hate scraping. when i bump up my spring rates (9/7 or 10/8) next year and maybe get larger wheels, i'd consider it but rather not...
im lazy too much work adjusting coilovers..leave it be.. u really want to slam your car, do as uuninja said: buy ground controls and stock up on stock or extra shocks, because you'll need it. |

A nice set kit will help you a lot in that "slammed" look. I helped a friend put some gc's and koni's in his jetta. We dropped it all the way down for pictures, and damn it was dumped. After he put his kit on, it was resting on the side skirts. Obviously you don't want to drive it this way.
Go for some more performance style springs/struts or coilovers, and just get a kit. That will give the low look, and drive nicely too. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=' ![]()
