So I recently went over to Hong Kong for my grandma's 91st birthday and to see my brand new niece and thought I'd like to share some pics. I HAVE A MILLION!!! I finally finished uploading most of them. So here we go. btw, all pics were taken on my phone so some might suck. ENJOY!

My family has a pretty good hookup on plane tickets. It came out to roughly $850 round trip, on late notice, and this was during christmas. I brought about $1000 to spend. Blew about $500.

Good to see you're enjoying it. I've been there a couple times and its awesome.

Theres a much higher concentration of high performance cars than in japan, since you practically need to be rich just to drive in HK.

Make sure you get one of these while there. One of a kind marble pattern!

wow, less than 1000 is a great price anytime for roundtrip! I am suppose to be over there now but I ended up in the hospital and it messed everything up. more pics?

I actually saw a shit ton of cars there (which I ofcourse took plenty pictures of). And yea, its insane the amount of money they pay for cars over there. I was always under the impression that cars were cheap there. And I bought a far share of bubble knobs, Bippu stuff and other random goodies. But I never got a marble knob.

Yes, HK is the SHIT especially at night! The building with the criss-crosses is my personal fav.

The shopping there is awesome....

car life..mm not so much
cops are strict and not TOO many sweet cars. mostly skylines (33/34s)
its fun though good times

Yea, I didnt really see anything fully decked out. The scene seems pretty strong there. I mean, nothing like Japan ofcourse but HK holds its own.

Yea the bus really sucks. Especially when its completely packed and you hit heavy traffic. Im american as fawk so I hate being crammed in with a buncha people. HK peeps seem used to it.

i got stuck ones on a crammed bus next to a really stinky indian going thru jordan and such. it was the worst ride ever

and i was all jazzed up for CHUNGKING MANSIONS

I love cars but the food in HK was amazing and was really all i thought about. amazingly delicious and full of value. I would love to make more visits often, but I think living there for long term would drive me crazy. eat more food. if you don't come back 3 lbs/week heavier, consider the trip a failure... jk. but i personally try to abide by those standards.

usually i just take the MTR/metro, and walk (to burn off all the good food). its really convenient to get around the place. There's really no practical need to own a car over there. HK is totally awesome for eating, shooting pics, buying electronics (no sales tax), or just to explore for the sake of it. Macau is also very close by, being approx 1hr away by hydrofoil (think it costs around $20-$30 for a rt ticket).

As for the car culture, there's really not a lot you can do even if you have a fun ride. There's not a lot of fun roads I know of. The closest racetrack is in China, and its very pricey to join events. I lived there for a number of years, and enjoy visiting. Would not go back to live there though.
