I recently found out about the RSRs' and the Teins s-tech springs and having trouble deciding which one to pick up.  They are both around the same price range I was wondering if anyone have good experience with both springs that would point me in the right direction.

TIA

It's so refreshing to see other options becoming more available/popular. &nbsp;Tired of the prokit vs sportline thing <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/notify.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':notify:'>

I haven't talked to anybody with tein springs yet since I think they are pretty new but I've heard RSR's are great.

Hey guys thanks for the replies. &nbsp;I guess the RSR's would be the springs that will complement my AGX's hehe.

RSR springs are great. &nbsp; They stopped selling them in the states though, a few years back. &nbsp;I dont know why. &nbsp;Yes, where are you getting the RSR's? &nbsp;I suppose they are getting them special ordered from Japan. &nbsp;I have seen the Tein S-tech springs in person, but have never heard of any opinions on them. &nbsp;I'd get the RSR's...I think you have made your decision already anyway.

Danio (fellow ZIlvia member) bought some of the new S14 AGX's, he is actually selling them now, they are still new in the box, he decided he didnt want them after all so he's saving up for a coilover setup. &nbsp;they took forever to get to him, apparently long enough for him to change his mind about usin em hehe, anyone interested im sure he wouldnt mind if u PM'ed him...

I know on the spring rate page, it says that the RS-R down's have a spring rate of like 280/235 and a 1.5" drop....But there are reviews on 240sx.org that says their ride was dropped over 2" and the spring rates were actually 508/420.....

I'm interested in getting rs-r springs, but I can't get any solid information on them.

The RS-R's website is:

http://www.rs-r.co.jp/main.php3

If anyone could help on their stats that would be awesome...

i dont know the standard specs but the s13 is

3kg front
3kg rear
drop about 1.5 (a bit lower too? around same as prokit)

s14 is
3.8kg front
3 kg rear
same as prokit (a bit lower i think actually-toso had them)

those are NOT the hard down springs
the RS*R japan site sucks (right now). its a joke. they don't list RS*R brake kits, Super LSDs, Coilovers, all their exhausts..etc etc. its a work in progress right now.

Sounds more like the RS*R Hard Springs, not the Down Springs. I had the Down Springs on my S14A. They were definately not a 2" drop. The stats that Dousan listed are correct for Down Springs. Hard Springs are not available in the U.S. as of this date.

Ok, so that leads me to the next question, which RS-R springs are they selling at the bottom of this page:

http://www.turboimport.com/catalog/240sx.htm

(3.8kg front/3 kg rear) That doesn't sound very stiff...sounds almost stock...

It'd be interesting to see what the stock s14 spring rates are, I don't think I've ever seen that posted on any spring rate table....

I have RSR springs on my S14 and they are the best lowering spring I have ever had on any of my cars.... and I've owned multiple 300ZX TT's and a few RX-7's before. &nbsp;the only thing that I would trade them out for would be a set of Zeal coilovers... the dual adjustment ones, not the B6's.
