yellow brake rotors??

so after a month without washing my car, i washed it the s13 today and while i was cleaning my wheels i noticed my brake rotors are all yellow! and i mean completely yellow! looks almost as if they were spray painted that color. now i changed my pads last november, my rotors in december, and i did apply some brake quiet to the pad shims but not the contact surface (just incase anybody asks) my brakes work fine, other than that i dont know why they would have all turned yellow. has this happened to anyone else and why?

thanks.

are you sure it's not rust? my rotors oxidize when i wash my car. it's normal. do they stay yellow after you drive your car around for a while?
