NGK wires are very good quality and cheap. Bosch are also very good quality. Magnecor are better.

its funny, i always thought of magnecors being a good wire, but i went to my local race shop last weekend and made told me they were crap (and he makes comission so telling me not to buy something was for a good reason i think)

Hmmm, I heard that magnacores are good everywhere else... You should have asked those guys at the store why they think they are bad.

i think shop based on wire thickness, not brand name. get a good 9 or 10mm wire.

A good wire is not solely based on it's thickness. The thickness 8mm, 8.5mm and 10mm are just thicker rubber insulation, not sprial wire inside.

Read here for more information on what's involved in a good a wire:

ahh forget about everyone's elses opinion...you gotta go through trail and error to see what works for you..and it's worth IT...try this brand and if it sucks then #### wait a while till you get more $$$ then get another brand...thats the only way to find whats the best...

I'd go with NGK's they are only like $40 a piece, not $100

I've seen magnecore's on civics, and toyota,s NGK seems more well made and lasts longer.

A local shop here tells me the same thing,
you can also try vitek wires (if you want to spend the $$)

Nology Hotwires, they store a charge in the wire producing greater charge then most performance wires.

OEM. Unless you are pushing some hugh hp and have an aftermarket ignition (which is only necessary for huge hp), all those rice wires will do you no good. Actually, the caps on them are usually lower quality than the NGK/OEM. Money aside, I've never seen wires make a dyno difference on a car w/ basic bolt-ons.

My Nology hotwires made a noticable difference in torque of the line and eliminated my engine lag above 5500rpm's. I don't car if they don't make any more hp on the dyno. A good set of wires will help out. You get what you pay for. My wires were 275 Canadian.

one characteristic of a good wire is not only its thickness, but its ability of EMI and RF supression. the less interference it emits or picks up, the better the spark will be transmitted.
