I have a 240SX SE that the registration says is a "95" and the body is obviously an S14 however the sticker on the door jam says the date of manufacture is 3/94 and when I've bought parts for a "95", (for example the ignition rotor) it is not correct and I have to exchange it for a "94" rotor!
Is my car actually a "94" as I thought 94's were S13's or a 95's as the registration says ?

its a 1995. all cars share this scenario. just because its a certain years model, doesnt mean it was made in that year.

Yes it is a 95 model, the parts you ordered are the correct one's. 94 is just the year it was built in.

you sure you had the right ignition system the first time around with the rotor?.. and also the original engine?

95 was a grey area for a lot of manufacturers, just because they were just about to switch over to obdII...so a lot of odd things happened with cars in 95.
