Red Zenki/built SR/Car PC - needs to go!

Hey guys, the time has come to move on to the next project. I was going to wait until the end of the season to sell her but I came across a real nice deal on something and can't pass it up. The only problem is that I cannot afford them both - so unfortunatel my girl Sil has to go.

There is well over $30K in parts/labor/etc and I have listed her for sale before (low $20Ks) but was never serious about selling her. Well now I am, so I am listing her for $15K which I am very firm on. Not saying I wouldn't take offers but for everything this car has, I (of course I do) think it's a steal.

Location - Chicagoland area
Price - $15,000

History, I did build this my self from the ground up. The engine currently has ~4500 miles since rebuild and it runs like a champ. I did have a problem with what I thought was the headgasket a couple months back but I re-torqued the headstuds and the problem hasn't been back since. I am not going to say I babied the car but I most definitely didn't beat on it. She was drivin hard and only launched once. She has scene no drag strips and only one auto-x. The car is tuned perfectly with a rom tune (11.5s across the board) and doesn't stall, miss, hiickup , or anything. The throwout bearing has a little whine to it but the trans shifts perfect with no grinding. The windsheild is cracked but not bad (will replace with sale) and the paint is a 8/10. The hood is not painted and the dash has one crack in it on the steering column.

I am a real honest guy and will tell you anything you want to know, good or bad. I hate to see her go but gotta make room for her bigger brother

I'll vouch for the seller. He took his time with the build, didn't cut corners, and used quality parts.

Thank you, it controlls everything. It stores around 3,000 songs, it runs nissan datascan to monitor the ecu/engine. I can set timing, idle, and check codes from the computer it self. Very cool little tool.

lol - that's cool. I get sh@# on all the other forums for the price.

The car pc was around $1,200 not installed. I did the whole install myself so that was pretty cheap but at my shop we would charge around $400 to mold the screen in the dash.

I love the whole carpc thing and I do believe that with in the next 5-7 years, that will be the standard in all cars in some way (pioneer already makes a multimedia storage thing). Don't know much about macs but why not try it. I bought my pc from mobile computing solutions and it is made for a car. Comes with some nice features like auto shutdown.

nope.. It was a R33 GTR with a popped motor but that deal came and went. Now, I just want to sell it for a family ride. Wife had to get a full time job and we only have one "baby" car. Time for another!

Would this classify as a family car?

Also, is there no A/C on the car?

Does the carPC control like AC and stuff? Or is it removed?

Hell yeah I would trade you for that M3 - I actually was talking to someone about selling the car and I was going through the receipts and I totalled ~$35K. I am going to either just keep it or raise the price. I am not going to give this car away, especially since I have been driving it more and more as of lately. I was trying to get rid of it fast but I just came into some cash and no longer "need" to sell it.

There is no AC but the heater and vent controlls are relocated to the center box. I would love a R32 but you know I am in the states (can't have one legaly) and I am a little jealous that you guys up in canada are able to have those.
