s13 kouki lights not sitting right?

So just picked up a set of koukis from a friend and put them on the other night only to find they fit like shit.

Wondering if anyone has ever had any similar problems with fitting the koukis to get them sitting flush?

I'm using the stock lower panel for now till I get the 180sx lower panel but will it get rid of the look of the center panel sitting out so far?

Heres some pics I just took so you guys can see for yourselves.

you may just have too much weather stripping crap from the original lights stuck on the chassis. I had to put mine in a few times to get it to fit right. don't take it all off, do a little at a time until it sits well. (i got mine off a friend as well)

As far as the lower panel, yes, the correct panel for the kouki tails will make that fit more flush (the kouki version bends out to meet up with the bottom of the center piece)

Yea thats what I thought so I started pulling some of it out. Dosent really seem likes it getting any better though...

I'll keep working at it and I guess I'll just have to deal with it bulging out till I get the 180 lower panel.

Any other suggestions why they are not sitting right?

they made need some time to settle (i know it sounds kinda stupid, but try to tighten them after a few days of sitting on a hot black car in the sun.) The weather stripping may settle a little then.

Well kept pulling the weather stripping little by little and eventually just pulled all of it off and no change.

I think you have the right idea of letting them sit for a little and maybe I'll just keep tightening little by little and see if they can pull in a little more.

I think the problem is the lights themselves though.

w/e though, they still look sexy even if they don't sit hella flush haha.
